When Fauns raised nearly a million euros in 2016 and ventured into creating our own IPs, we embarked on an incredible journey with the magazine Carbone. Teaming up with Jérôme Dittmar, we assembled an international group of talented creators, writers, and pop-culture journalists. Carbone became a symbol of our passion for storytelling, guided by the principles of curiosity, sharing, and serendipity. Over time, we published numerous articles, YouTube analyses, and issues filled with comics, novels, and illustrations, while collaborating with exceptional publishers and writers.
Our team grew to 40 members, and we celebrated our success with unforgettable events like Angoulême 2018 and a boat party in Lyon, France. In just a year and a half, we sold 30,000 books, and the experience was exhilarating and enriching. This extraordinary chapter taught me invaluable lessons in writing, conceiving, pitching, and editing, all while meeting some of the most amazing people in the industry. Carbone left a lasting impact on my life and career, serving as a testament to the power of storytelling and collaboration.
