Splinter Cell

Fast forward ⏩ a bit, and we found ourselves collaborating on a documentary about Mad Max coproduced with Rockyrama 📚 for Canal+. It was a fantastic experience, and I couldn’t help but feel proud as I watched Guillaume’s company, Sun Creature ☀️, evolve into a powerhouse for mind-blowing 2D animation projects. Little did I know that our paths would cross again 🫰🏼 in an even bigger way.

In August 2019, Guillaume reached out to me, and suddenly I was catapulted ☄️ into the role of Executive Producer for the TV series Splinter Cell. This wasn’t just any show; it was produced by Ubisoft and Netflix, with Derek Kolstad, the mastermind behind the John Wick series, as the writer 🤯. Talk about hitting the big time!

My boss, Bo Juhl Nielsen—CEO, EP, director, name it — was one of the best teachers I got in this business. Bo shared everything, and I always remembered his sense of diplomacy and kindness in my communication.

Guillaume 🎬 was already doing a phenomenal job as the production designer, but I knew he had even more potential. So, I gave him a little push🫸🏼, encouraging him to take the reins as the series director. It wasn’t the smoothest of transitions, but we both knew he had the vision and talent to make it work. 🚀

Of course, life wouldn’t be life without a few bumps 🤜🏼🤛🏼 in the road. We faced our fair share of challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which threw a wrench into just about everything. But through it all, we persevered, fueled by our unwavering determination to create something truly spectacular. 🎥

I have to say, one of the highlights of this journey was having the opportunity to work with some of the most incredibly talented individuals 🫂 in the industry. Recruiting and collaborating with these amazing people was an absolute joy, and I’m beyond grateful to still be working with some of them on other projects. Such Thomas Dubois 👨🏼‍🎨 and Bafta-winner Milan Baulard. 😱

So here we are, on the cusp of releasing what I’m confident will be a visually astonishing and captivating series. It’s been one heck of a ride, but when I look back at the friendships forged, the challenges overcome, and the incredible work we’ve accomplished, I can’t help but think: life’s surprises 🎁 aren’t so bad after all.

I served during visual development and preproduction as the Executive Producer on the Splinter Cell animated series for Netflix & Ubisoft, overseeing 🕶️ development, creative direction, and production strategy 🎬. I worked closely with the team, ensuring the project stayed true to its stealth-action roots while pushing its cinematic storytelling forward. 🔥
